Dr. Angelica Perez-Litwin, PhD, MBA
Clinical Psychologist, Career Therapist & Professional Career Coach
Founder/CEO, Lumin Center & Lumin Institute
Hello!
I’m a licensed Clinical Psychologist, Professional Career Coach, and Career Therapist with over 20 years of experience supporting high-achieving professionals who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally drained. My clients often appear successful on the outside—but inside, they’re struggling to keep up, stay connected, or feel fulfilled. Whether you're navigating a demanding job, building a business, or going through a major life transition, I offer a grounded, compassionate space to help you reset and rediscover what truly matters. I specialize in helping motivated individuals make sense of the past, feel more present and connected, and build a future aligned with their values.
I’m known as a deeply attuned therapist —strategic, intuitive, and down-to-earth. I listen closely, dig deep, and help clients uncover the root of their patterns while creating a clear path forward. I work with professionals in high-stress industries, including healthcare providers, attorneys, engineers, entrepreneurs, therapists, coaches, and healers, who seek greater clarity, stronger boundaries, and emotional alignment in their personal and professional lives. I’m especially passionate about empowering women to reclaim their voice, power, and vision for a more fulfilling life and career.
My work has been featured in national media, including CNN, Forbes, NPR, PBS, and The Today Show. Hispanic Business Magazine named me one of the “50 Most Influential Latinas in the U.S.”
Professionals, entrepreneurs, and business owners often seek therapy with me for:
Anxiety, depression, burnout, or emotional exhaustion
Chronic stress from high-pressure roles or caregiving
Life transitions: divorce, relocation, grief, or identity shifts
A desire to reconnect with purpose, joy, and self-worth
They seek professional career coaching for:
Burnout, imposter syndrome, or toxic work environments
Career crossroads or uncertainty about next steps
Transitioning into private practice or entrepreneurship
Wanting a career that feels aligned, meaningful, and sustainable
In addition to therapy, I offer Career Therapy—a coaching model I developed that blends psychological insight with career strategy. I help clients overcome internal blocks, build clarity and confidence, and make bold, values-driven decisions in both life and work.
I'd be honored to support your journey if you’re ready to feel more like yourself again—and step into a career and life that reflect your true self.
Professional Background
For the past 20 years, I have had a successful private practice. Before that, I held a faculty appointment at the New York University School of Medicine, where I led a research program at an NIH-funded research center. Until recently, I served as Director at the Prisma Health Addiction Research Center, where I now serve as a consultant on several research projects.
In 2020, I launched Lumin, an innovative therapy group practice, to address our current mental health crisis and redefine the therapy experience. My entrepreneurial spirit has led me to pioneer partnerships with today's leading technology companies and universities, including Google, Twitter, Columbia, and Harvard University, collaborating on initiatives designed to help women accelerate their careers and achieve personal well-being. In Greenville, I completed Leadership Greenville (Class 45!) and earned an MBA from Clemson University.
